The DPS were over at my elderly parents' house yesterday between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Dad is 89 years old and Mom is 83. Pop saw one bad guy jump his front gate and head towards the open field behind the house. Mom saw another maldito try to get into the house. She told him the house was locked. Bad Butt thought the old run down casa was vacant...and was startled enough to head east like his compadre.
Mom said there were at least 20 law enforcement personnel on the spot.
Did the DPS bother to let Mom and Dad know all was well? NO.
Really? Did they not hear the television blaring?
When my brother, aunt,and myself got home from work my brother noticed the gate a certain way and saw strange tire tracks and footprints. Somethinig was definitely up.
I ran to check on my parents. That is when we got the scoop.
We called the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department to see if it was their organization that had been on premises. Nope.
WE later found out through our channels that the DPS was involved.
WE will probably ask them some questions this morning!
*Someone told us the DPS can call off a foot chase if it is not a felony.
What? Really? Is that possible? What if the perps graduate to felons within
a week of the hot retreat? Better hope they do not!
