GHOST STORY OR EXHAUSTED BIT?

I pulled down a 12 hour day yesterday and headed home. A brief rest before heading for Mission Hospital to visit my father. I decided to take the scenic route. I flew at a responsible speed down Stewart Road to Business 83. I then hit Bryan Road to get to the hospital.

At the light near the carwash and KMART I saw two cars to the left of me since I was on the right. I clearly saw one of Mission's Finest wearing a lime green vest and his dark Police uniform. Sunglasses. Neat haircut. He seemed to be checking out the first car. Had someone left it there stalled? Puzzling. I glanced to my right for a brief moment. When I looked back to see what the police officer was up to...poof! No one was there!!!

Maybe my tired days had caught up with me? Did I need 12 gallons of java? Was I even safe on the road?

Maybe....on the first question.

I was wide awake.

I took my dad 2 underwear, 2 pants and 2 shirts.

Was he planning a break out from the hospital? Could be. He wants to go home!!!

He is in therapy. Heart condition. High blood pressure. He is diabetic and had fought pneumonia. He vanquished it in his youth, but folks say you are more susceptible to it if you have tangled with it before. Pop is 89 years old.

So...ghost story or exhaustion-induced hallucination?

I hit the sack at 12:08 am.

Tonight I will attempt to hit that pillow at 11:00 pm...or maybe just maybe 10:40 pm.

Dad and I would watch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

We only got to watch one Dallas Cowboys game together this season. He has been in the hospital since September 11th.

I think I need some coffee! Community Coffee with Chickory!

GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
